At Knockiehill Woodland, we offer day and overnight woodland experiences for youth groups looking to get outside, learn practical skills and spend quality time together in a wild, supportive environment.

Our sessions are hands-on, active, and skills-focused, giving young people the chance to build confidence, resilience and teamwork while having genuine fun outdoors.

Activities can include:

Fire lighting and bushcraft

Archery and axe throwing

Tracking and foraging

Whittling and woodland crafts

Team-building challenges and games

Shelter building and camp skills

All experiences are delivered in our managed woodland, with safety, progression and enjoyment at the heart of everything we do.

Day Camps

A full day in the woodland, ideal for group visits, badge work or outdoor learning days.

Time: 10am to 4pm
Includes: Instructor-led activities and free exploration

Inclusive Overnight Camp

From midday day 1 through to 10am day 2

This camp is designed to be hosted by the KWC team, working alongside your group leaders to deliver a safe, engaging overnight woodland experience.

Included:

Instructor-led activities such as bushcraft and survival skills, axe throwing and team challenges
Evening campfire meal
Breakfast on day 2
KWC instructor onsite until 7pm

Supported / Self-Catered Overnight Camp

From midday day 1 through to 10am day 2

This option is designed for groups who want structured support during the day while running their own evening programme.

Included:

Instructor-led activities such as bushcraft, survival skills, axe throwing and team challenges
KWC instructor onsite from midday to 6pm (day 1) and 8am to 10am (day 2)
Full use of woodland camp areas
